How to Enable Silent Mode in Avast
Silent Mode in Avast can enhance your gaming experience by eliminating annoying alerts and notifications. This article will help you understand how to enable silent mode in Avast and get the most of it during gaming.
Avast provides more than antivirus security. Avast is now a preferred choice for gamers. However, certain games can slow down your PC or cause interruption to gameplay. To combat these issues, Avast has added a new feature known as “Silent Gaming Mode.” This feature disables all notifications and alerts while you play. This makes it easier to concentrate on playing the game and not worry about your PC’s performance.
It is important to keep in mind that when this mode is enabled the security features of antivirus are in effect. This includes a threat detection scan and a virus scanner and advanced features. If you’re concerned about these features impacting the performance of your computer, you may disable them prior to using Silent Gaming Mode.
You will first need to make sure your computer meets Avast’s requirements for system. This means you’ll need at minimum a Pentium III processor, 20GB of free space and an i.e. 512MB of RAM.
When you have met the minimum system requirements, go to the Avast settings and click on the “Notifications” tab. To activate the silent gaming mode, you’ll have to tick the box that says “Don’t display any pop-ups, or alerts (Silent Gaming Mode)” at the top of the menu.
